Early Life

Jannik Sinner was born on August 16, 2001, in San Candido, Italy, making him 21 years old as of 2022. He grew up in the town of Sesto with his parents, Johann and Siglinde Sinner. Both of his parents worked at a ski lodge, with his father being a chef and his mother a waitress. Jannik was raised alongside his brother, Marc.

Jannik Sinner’s Career

2018

Jannik Sinner’s journey in tennis began in early 2018 when he decided to skip junior matches and instead compete on the ITF Men’s Circuit. He earned wild cards for ATP Challenger Tour events and secured his only ITF title of the year in doubles. By the end of the year, he was ranked No. 551 in the ATP rankings.

2019

Sinner’s breakthrough came in February 2019, when, at the age of 17, he won his first ATP title at the Bergamo Challenger. This achievement made him the youngest Italian to win an ATP Challenger title and the first player born in 2001 to reach a Challenger final.
