Veronica Sánchez Career

Veronica Sánchez’s career in acting began on the stage, where she made her debut in 1996. She worked in several notable theatre productions, including Un espíritu burlón de Noel Coward (1996), Tierra (1997), Lorca en Escena (1998), El Zapatito Mágico (1999), Fin (1999), Don Juan en los Ruedos de Salvador Tavora (2001), and Bodas de Sangre (2002), with Bodas de Sangre being one of her most successful projects.

Her breakthrough came in 2003 when she joined the cast of Los Serrano, a popular Spanish television series, where she portrayed Eva Capdevila. After leaving Los Serrano in 2005, Veronica expanded her career into film with roles in movies such as CamaronEl Calentito, and Los 2 Lados de la Cama. She also appeared in Mía Sarah (2005) and earned a nomination for a Cinema Winter Circle Award in 2006.

The following years saw Veronica further solidify her place in Spanish cinema and television. She starred in Gordos (2009), a film for which she was nominated for a Goya Award for Best Supporting Actress. Other projects included the TV series 14 de abril. La República (2011) and El Caso. Crónica de Sucesos (2016). In 2019, she gained widespread attention for her role in the TV series El Embarcadero, one of the most-watched Spanish shows at the time.

In March 2021, Veronica was featured in Sky Rojo, a highly anticipated Netflix series, where she played a key role as a night worker.
